ADYN

Brand Introduction

ADYN is a high end british street fashion brand with the iconic silhouette designs of patches, cuts and fits i first came across this brand when i was looking into the trend of extended cotton tshitrts with zips and scoop style tshirts along with the iconic ADYN print baseball jersey. I was not able to find this brand any where to have a look or hand feel the garments from past collections only pictures and reviews from youtube but as a customer i wanted to try before i was happy to buy. As i was not sure at first how ADYN would fit like i really liked the style and think i was afraid of how long the extended tshirt was and if i looked silly wearing this type of style. I missed a few collections from ADYN but i was all ways upto date with their collections from what they was releasing and what materials they was using to keep up with trends and also being a trend setter.

The Purchase

ADYN for me was the first i came across as a brand for the extended and layering feature i didn't really see many do it well as ADYN. Only till i was more comfortable with the my style i was able to look abit deeper into the brand and a store near my town called Intro in Manachester stocked ADYN and i was very pleased because i was able to hand feel the quality and see the reason why for the high price point for their clothing and i understood because their garments are well made with great quality. So from the White Noise collection i was able to purchase the White Noise knit long sleeve which os part of the AW14 Essential collection.

White Noise knit long sleeve £65 http://adyn.co.uk

Fitting

My concern about this top was how snug under the arms felt this made the top feel really tight for me and most of the tops are like this and i had to get a bigger size so the was good enough to wear. So i do reckon you get a size up if u don't like it very fitted. A great feature to White Noise knit long sleeve top is the the neoprene patch which feels good which features at the back and the digital effect which the call it "White Noise" i was very happy with because it not only fits well but it has thumb holes at the end by the cuffs of the sleeves and on the arms is extra material to give ripple layering effect.

Collections

From their Airtex, Essentials, void, X Harvey Nichols, Parallel to their latest collection Fragment. Essential is defiantly my best collection. I know they are more of the high end side of the street culture but one thing i would love to see in the next collection is even more innovation in there designs and i know people are taking ideas from each other thats the fashion world. I do have to say ADYN is one of many british brands that sets the bar and high too.

Y-3 "Yohji Yamamoto"

The Experince

My interest into Y-3 started earlier 2014 i knew about the brand Adidas and the designer Yohji Yamato but wanted to get into the designer and brand more. Back in the days Y-3 use to be not so popular in the market some use to look down at Y-3 and if you was wearing the brand you was a certain type which i won't go into. It all started for me when i first came encountered with the qasa's style shoes. I was very familiar with the design by Yohji Yamamoto but did not really pay much attention due to the price of the shoes. It was only till my visit in the Y-3 Store in London i came across the amazing store and straight away went to the shelf and had in my hand the Y-3 Qasa Low Racers. The way the staff dressed in all black with layering that as on point, the way the shop was layer out with merchandises etc, how everything was all black, extended clothing for layering and more it really did open my eyes for how to be unique and not dress as the norm for example in Reiss or Nigel Hall. Y-3 Qasa Low Racers in my hand from the shelf i tried on but no matter how comfortable they looked and amazing on feet they looked i couldn't justify the price at the time. So i put them back on shelf and continued my exploration around the store. I knew what i was looking for but i was not expecting to find it instore this was my first piece of layering and extended clothing all in one garment which was perfect to purchase. After my visit to London back in Manchester telling my frinds and how i was amazed by the store and when i came back from London i was telling everyone i knew about the store and Y-3 how big they are going to be etc. Some listened and few just wasn't to bothered from its past reputation.

The Look Out

Was all ways looking out for Y-3 and what was up and coming then when i watched there AW14 fashion show again the qasa's came back as a return but in a high top version this when i said to myself i have to get this shoe. Happily i did because i can not stress how great these shoes are from the qasa high racer lows and more. Further i did my research on Y-3 and got to know the brand more for example the "Y" stands for Yohji Yamato who is the designer and the number "3" represent the iconic three stripes of Adidas and together you have the brand nameY-3.  What i then started to realise was the design of the shoe and how eyeopening they was just like how i visited the store in London. From wearing Jordans and Nikes to start wearing Y-3 is a big
change especially the way how the shoes look as if you are some type of ninja.

Features & Fitting

This was the iconic look i really liked and wanted something different and unique to go with a new image and look i wanted to go and try out. Picture below shoes the Khaki green Y-3 Qasa High's. Only word to describe this shoe design is another level. Now i wished i bought the pair i picked in hand from the store but i was more than happy with the pair below.  The level of comfort of these shoes is hard to describe you have to try a pair on to understand. The best way to describe is they feel like slippers on your feet with the neoprene upper and soft cushioned soled and elasticated strap around the shoe gives you the great comfort and stability. After i got my first pair i knew this wasn't going to be the last so i had to get the Y-3 Qasa Low's from the same AW14 collection but in a blue colour way and Y- 3 Boost which the  boost sole technology is another comfort level.

The Future

Next i knew what was about to drop for SS15 but mean while the all black qasa high's released this was when a lot of people started to take interest in the shoes and the hype of Y3 grew to a point people really wanting the shoes especially the Qasa's style. I am not going to deny a little frustrating when you are telling people about Y-3  a year ago then now people jumping on the band wagon but i guess thats what they are designed for people to wear and have. SS15 collection was about to drop and they was four different styles that was about to release the most popular was the Qasa high but from the OG colour way they like to call it because if the success of the Qasa style. I thought to stay away from the hyped pair and go for something different. I first saw the designer for Fear Of God Jerry Laurenzo with a pair of Qasa Low 2's and it came to my attention how good they looked especially how he styled them with his collection. So i went to get myself a pair and again the look and feel of the shoe was great worked very well with many types of outfits. Right now i am saving them fort SS15 for a percific look i am going to go for in spring summer. Yohji Yamamoto i salute him as a designer and a visionary for his style of clothing and shoes he has bought to the fashion world and i am a very big fan of his work also is collection away from Adidas too self titled Yohji Yamamoto.

Represent Clothing

Brand Introduction

British Luxury street brand Represent was one of the first brands i got into interns of the street style and for the look i wanted to pursue too. Represents branding speaks for itself it represents the UK with their street influence and style. All their clothing from their collections are designed with good quality and high grade stretched cotton sourced in the uk such as the newest collection from SS15 Furry. From the Essential clothing such as the Waxed black denims and long sleeve, turtle kneck under tshirts and zip hoody. From this collection i was able to purchase and create the street style  i wanted to go for with my personal styling this season in terms of layering featuring in the look below.
http://representclothing.co.uk

Essential Charcoal Turtle neck T-Shirt£50, Oblivion Charcoal Bomber Jacket £175, Essential Black Waxed Denim £80, Essential Black zip hoody £100. All Available at http://representclothing.co.uk

The look

Following from this look i was able to mix and match the garments into outfits in so many different ways and could easily style three different looks from each item from Represent. the quality is really good specially the waxed denim jeans, slim fitting and narrow/tapered at the bottom of the leg. Which will sit on top of you selected trainers nicely. As for the bomber with a ripple stitch effect going all the down the arm which is a current trend at the moment and gives the bomber unique detail look. Adding to the feature there is accessories to the bomber which are straps. The Oblivion bomber is very light weight ready to be worn for the spring summer which was a smart idea seem as the bomber was release for AW14 along with the extended bomber then carried over for SS15 for transition season purposes along with other pieces to make a nice new collection.

Features

http://representclothing.co.uk
The second look i was able to show case the greatness of the Oblivion bomber on how it can be constructed as a back pack with the adjustable straps. Really nice key feature if you don't want to carry your jacket around and can be worn in many different ways. With the iconic branded Represent logo on the straps you can have these attached on as if they are loose from the jacket to create more street edge look but i like them hidden for personal purposes. The Essential turtle neck fits great too and is extended length for the layering look with thumb holes. The Essential hoody has the same feature too with the thumb holes along drop shoulder seams with  double zip feature to show your layering style which i think is a nice way to wear the Oblivion bomber and Essential hoody together with the bottom zip up.

Over all i think these pieces are exactly what you need if you are looking for the street style the look i mentioned in my previous blog and with their newest collection up and coming very soon i will more than recommend Represent as brand to go for if you like the layering approach this season for reasonable prices too.
